New timings and stops for trains from 15th

LAHORE: As from April 15 the railway swicthes over ot summer timing, the authorities have introduced in stops of trains.

Stops of eight passenger trains are being removed, another five trains will have new stops. The departure time of eight trains is being rescheduled, stops of two trains are being regularised while stop duration of five trains is being increased from April 15.

It has been a tradition that summer timings come into effect from April 15 and remain scheduled till October 14 and the winter timings from October 15 till April 14 every year since the early quarter of 20th century when a railway was constructed in this part of the subcontinent, which now comprises Pakistan.

According to new timetable, stop time of Akbar Express and Jaffar Express will be five minutes instead of previous two minutes at Shikarpur. Bahauddin Zikarya Express and Fareed Express will be stopping at Hyderabad for 15 minutes instead of previous 10 minutes while Jaffar Express will have a 30-minute stopover at Sibbi instead of previous 25 minutes.




Instead of departing from Karachi City, Millat Express will now be leaving Karachi Cantt for Malakwal and vice versa. Khyber Mail, Badar Express, Ghauri Express, Musa Pak, Sandal Express, Sukkur Express and Badin Express will be running according to new timings.

NEW STOPS: Tezgam will now be stopping at Chaklala, Jaffar Express, Pakistan Express and Akbar Express at Jahanian, and Subak Raftar at Gujranwala.

REGULARISED: The stop allowed during last year for Bahauddin Zakariya Express at Feroza and Millat Express at Sadiqabad and Mehrabpur will be regularised in summer 2015 time table.

STOPS REMOVED: Hazara Express will not be stooping at Deena and Lakhra Road, Awam Express at Kharian Cantt, Khushhal Khan Khattak Express at Ichhri and Jhumat, Fareed Express at Lahore Cantt, Walton, Raja Jang and Kul Moakkal, Islamabad Express at Gujranwala, Sukkur Express at Tando Masti Khan and Rawalpindi at Sangjani.
