Verdict in NA-125 case reservedArchive
LAHORE: An election tribunal on Monday reserved a verdict in the NA-125 alleged rigging case after counsel for railways minister Saad Rafiq and PTI’s runner-up candidate Hamid Khan concluded their arguments. The tribunal will announce the verdict in the first week of May.
Hamid Khan had challenged the victory of PML-N’s Saad Rafiq alleging that he rigged the elections and a large number of bogus votes were cast in his favor. He requested the tribunal to declare the election null and void and announce re-election in the constituency.
In this case, the tribunal’s appointed local commission and Nadra submitted their reports after inspecting the record of the constituency.
