PML-N senator slams Altaf’s remarksArchive
KARACHI: A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senator on Saturday condemned the ‘anti-army remarks’ by Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain and said those speaking against the armed forces were the enemy of Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference, Senator Nihal Hashmi said his party was planning to table a resolution against the MQM chief in the Sindh Assembly.
He said: “Those who wanted to live here should adhere to the Constitution.” Strict action should be taken against all enemies of the country, he added.
The PML-N leader also urged the media not to air hour-long speeches live.
He also condemned the Sindh government for not initiating the K-IV water supply project despite the fact that 60 per cent of its funds were being provided by the federal government.
