New bikes added to Rescue 15 fleetArchive
ISLAMABAD: Rescue 15 of the capital police was given an additional 25 motorbikes on Saturday for improving patrolling in urban areas and curbing street crime.
The motorbikes were added to the fleet following the directives by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for measures to be taken to curb crime.
Islamabad police have also provided security kits police officials performing duties at pickets. During a briefing to police officials deputed at pickets ad patrolling duties, IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan said that the purpose of providing these modern kits to the officials of the Police was to ensure their safety.
He said properly equipped officials will be able to perform their duties without fear and round the clock patrolling can be carried out in the city to ensure safety of citizens. The IGP told police officials to ensure that they are polite in their dealings with citizens and reach out to them for community policing.
