Australian minister arrives todayArchive
ISLAMABAD: Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is arriving here on Wednesday on a two-day visit.
During her stay in Pakistan, Ms Bishop will meet the Prime Minister’s Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal, Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office: “Pakistan and Australia will explore the possibilities of further strengthening the existing ties, especially in trade, investment, agriculture, education, sports and defence. There will be renewed focus on elevating economic engagement and boosting bilateral trade.”
