Leg-spinner Daniyal Naveed was the wrecker-in-chief with figures of five wickets for 31 runs, while medium-pacer Abdullah Hamza took two for 26.

But Zone-IV spoilt their good beginning by losing half their side for only 81 runs in 36 overs they faced before stumps on day one of the two-day game. Hamza Qadir struck four fours in making 35.

Off-spinning all-rounder and Zone-VI skipper Fahaddis Bukhari has so far snared three wickets for 19 runs in a tidy spell.
