The system of distribution and the condition of government houses given to officials is extremely poor. Many houses are occupied by retired officers who are unwilling to vacate them despite being given repeated notices.
Some ministers occupy two or more houses. Some officers who own their own houses have given the government ones on rent. This is unfair to those officers who don’t have a house of their own.
Eligible, honest and deserving (Grade 20 and above) officers have been waiting since long and requesting since ages that better government houses be provided to them but in vain. In fact, the houses meant for them are alloted to teachers, nurses or other people having connections.
I hope that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government would provide good houses to the needy officers as soon as possible.
