SUKKUR: Sindh Education Department Secretary Dr Fazalullah Pechuho has said the biometric system has been introduced for the verification of presence of all school teachers on their duties.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the biometric system introduced in connection with verification of teachers and other employees of the education department of the Sukkur region, at a programme held at the Director Education Office here on Tuesday.
He said efforts would be continued to reopen closed schools and urged teachers to focus on their actual duties.
He said those government teachers who were teaching at private schools would be sent behind the bars. Ghost teachers would not be forgiven and show-cause notices had also been sent to those teachers who were working as journalist, he added.
Those who were doing double jobs and sending someone else for teaching would be indentified and punished.
