Two booked for acid attack

MUZAFFARGARH: Two persons were booked on Monday under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for acid attack on a woman.

According to police, Samina Bibi, 27, a resident of Tibba Kareemabad in the City police area, said her husband was in jail and suspect Khalil made advances at her that she refused.

On Monday, Khalil along with an unidentified accomplice threw acid on Samina’s face, burning it badly. She was referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for treatment.
