Health facilities in 10 dists to be outsourced, says Shahbaz

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says revolutionary reforms are being introduced in the health sector.

Addressing a meeting through video link at the Civil Secretariat on Tuesday, he said the maximum participation of the private sector would be ensured for improving public health facilities.

He said a decision had been taken to improve public health facilities in the province under a phased programme, adding that in the first phase basic and rural health centres and tehsil and district headquarters hospitals would be outsourced in 10 districts.

Shahbaz said a business model should be evolved to ensure the maximum participation of private sector in medical facilities in 10 districts and a final business model should be presented within seven days in this regard.




Adviser on Health Khwaja Salman Rafiq, MPA Rana Sanaullah, Parliamentary Secretary Imran Nazir and others attended the meeting.
