Depp’s dog days

It is mindboggling how certain things make A-list showbiz people act in an idiotic way. A case in point is Johnny Depp who is these days in Australia shooting for the next installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

When Johnny D came Down Under on his private jet, he brought along two of his Yorkshire terriers called Pistol and Boo. He had no idea that he needed clearance from the Australian immigration authorities for his pooches to enter Australia. The authorities got so miffed that they even entertained the thought of filing a case against the actor, which could have put him behind bars for two years. But they did not do so and now the terriers are back in the US.

Commenting on the situation an Australian MP Ian Macfarlane said, “We’ve given the owner of the dogs the option of taking them out of the country and bringing them back in if he so wishes through a proper process.”

Well Jack Sparrow, it appears that your dog days have just begun.
