Governor attends meeting at cadet collegeArchive
TAXILA: Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajwana said on Friday that the values of the renowned institution of Cadet College Hassanabdal must be kept alive. He was presiding over the meeting of the board of governors at Hassanabdal which was attended by the POF Chief Lieutenant General Umer Hayat, Punjab Finance Secretary Punjab, Punjab Additional Secretary Education, Rawalpindi Commissioner, Attock Refinery Chief Executive Officer, the college principal and an official of the Asian Development Bank.
The governor urged the college administration to further improve the facilities available at the college to help prepare students to meet academic challenges. Participants of the meeting discussed new development projects and plans for improvement of academic facilities and infrastructure. The governor stressed that security arrangements at the college should also be improved.
On this occasion, the principal Retired Major General Najeeb Tariq also shared the annual report on achievements of the cadets in academic and co circular activities. Later, the members paid a visit to the Yadgar e Shuda and offered prayers for those Abdailans who laid their lives while defending motherland.
