Rs55m farm tax recovered in 2013-14Archive
HYDERABAD: The Sindh government received Rs55 million of agriculture tax from 2,918 agriculturalists and account-holders in Hyderabad division during 2013-14.
This was stated by Hyderabad Additional Commissioner-I Sajjad Haider Shah while presiding over a meeting about agriculture income tax at his office on Thursday, according to a handout.
Mr Shah is also a convener of recovery of agriculture income tax and supervision committee.
He asked all additional deputy commissioners of the division to speed up the process of recovery and meet the target within the stipulated period of time.
He also asked them to be in contact with all account-holders and help them in depositing the tax. He said that notices be issued to those account holders who were not paying the tax.
Strict action would be taken against revenue officers who showed negligence, he said.
