Poor drainage at hostelArchive
I WANT to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the drainage and sanitation system at Lahore College for Women University, particularly at one of its hostels on Jail Road.
Every year monsoon brings a host of problems for the residents of the hostel, as well as for its servant quarters. During heavy rains, one of its hostels gets entirely flooded. As a result, students have to be shifted to other hostels. The situation lasts several days. This causes unhygienic conditions for students and increases their chances of suffering from malaria, dengue fever, cholera and other diseases.
The college administration spends a huge amount of money on renovation every year rather than fixing the drainage and sanitation system, which should be its first priority.
