Three ‘robbers’ killed in ‘encounter’

MULTAN: Khanewal police claimed on Saturday to have killed three alleged robbers in an ‘encounter’.

Police said three suspects were looting the people on Kikarhatta Road. The suspects snatched a mobile phone and cash from passerby Altaf Husain and took away valuables from Haji Mazhar’s shop at Sabzi Mandi on Jhang Road, Kabirwala.

The team chased the suspects who fired on the personnel near Mauza Kalkaanwala. During a crossfire, one of the suspects identified as Muhammad Husain Ludhana of Kot Islam was injured and succumbed to his wounds on way to hospital.

Police continued chasing the robbers and a crossfire took place near Bhatiawala as a result Nadeem Abbas of Qadirpurwan and Ramzan Tangra of Mauza Tangra, Multan, were killed.




Police claimed that the robbers were involved in many cases.
