Illegal hunting of birdsArchive
SIBERIAN birds fly thousands of miles to reach different regions of Sindh like Tharparkar, Mithi and Tharimerwah. Arab Sheikhs come every year during the summer and hunt these birds.
Forest department officials issue them hunting permits. However, the truth is that they should make such policies which do not allow the illegal killing of Siberian birds.
The Sindh government is also involved in this business because it takes millions of rupees from the Arabs who hunt these birds.
In Dubai, there is an international market for birds like eagles and hawks which are sold for hundreds of dollars.
I appeal to the Sindh government to stop this illegal business and save these birds.
