Rulers, make life easyArchive
OUR rulers are generally not interested in something that does not project them. This policy is now backfiring. The best thing is if life of a common man is made easy, without mega investment.
I have some suggestions:
One, NSS profits may be sent to bank accounts of senior citizens, pensioners, widows and handicapped on the first of every month, through the NBP computer system.
Two, information about house tenants may be sent to the police stations concerned through SMS or e-mail. Instructions may be displayed on PS jurisdiction limit boards and outside police stations.
Three, arms licences of senior citizens, pensioners and widows may be exempted from computerisation (returned if deposited) and marked gratis for life like the CNIC of senior citizens.
Four, all utility bills may be delivered by the end of the month and paid by the 10th of the following month.
Five, affidavits for various government departments may be replaced with certification by department officials concerned with nominal fee as an incentive.
If these measures are adopted, the people would start feeling that the rulers care for them.
