Rangers to help recover Sepco dues from influential figuresArchive
SUKKUR: Sindh Rangers will help the Sukkur Electric Supply Company (Sepco) recover its dues from major defaulters, mainly highly influential figures, from Monday, it was officially announced on Wednesday.
Sepco spokesman Noor Ahmed Soomro said that the services of Rangers were put at the disposal of the power utility in Sukkur division, as well as Dadu district, for dues recovery on a request recently made to the prime minister by Federal Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali.
The spokesman said that Rangers personnel would be deployed within the Sepco network on Monday.
The minister during his recent visit to Sukkur had hinted at such a move, warning the influential defaulters to clear their dues before such an action was taken.
He had noted that major defaulters included elected representatives, Mirs and Pirs. According to sources, the Dadu Sepco circle would be provided Rangers’ team from their Hyderabad headquarters.
He had also warned that a list containing their names would be shown to the prime minister.
