Bangladesh delegation happy with security arrangementsArchive
LAHORE: A security delegation from the Bangladesh Cricket Board inspected Gaddafi Stadium here on Tuesday.
The delegation is in Pakistan these days to assess security. If it cleared the tour, Bangladesh women team will play three Twenty20 Internationals and as many One-day Internationals in Karachi and Lahore against Asian Games gold medallist Pakistan between Sept 27 to Oct 8.
The head of the delegation, retired Maj Hossain Imam, in a brief chat with the media after visiting the National Cricket Academy and central control room functioning in Punjab Sports Board offices, said he was happy with security arrangements.
He said he would submit his report to the Bangladesh Cricket Board and then the two cricket boards would take a final decision about the tour.
The director general of the Punjab Sports Board briefed the delegation about the arrangements made in the central control room from where the entire area of the Nisthar Sports Complex, where the Gaddafi Stadium is located, is seen.
The delegation had visited the National Stadium in Karachi on Monday. It arrived here on Monday night and will return home on Wednesday.
