LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday sealed many eateries, restaurants and food production units over hygiene and cleanliness issues.
According to officials, Ravi Town team sealed Khan Sweets and Sabir Sweets production units in Shahdara and the Chicks Fast Food Restaurant on Sheikhupura Road. It imposed a fine on the Lahore Broast, Shahdara.
Wagah Town team sealed Ahmad Pizza and Dahi Bhallay and imposed fine on Doce Bakers near Jallo Mor.
The PFA teams in Shalimar Town sealed Faisal Milk Shop at Seeko Road, Bhola Chanay Wala, Butt Store and Sweets in Bhagatpura and imposed fine on Ghausia Milk Shop.
Aziz Bhatti Town team sealed Wazir Shadi Hall in Guldasht Town (Zarar Shaheed Road), Subhan Milk Shop on Allama Iqbal Road, Dharampura, and Al-Sheikh Juice Corner.
Officials in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town sealed MAO College Cafeteria, Butt Sweets and Bakers and imposed a heavy fine on canteen of the Punjab College Chauburji.
In Samanabad, the PFA team sealed Adri Khoye Waly Chanay, Maqsood Tea Stall, Bashir Pakwan on Shamnagar Road near Chauburji.
Officials in Nishtar Town sealed Ali Juice Corner and Burger, Bhatti Milk Shop, Geo Naan Shop and Sabir Tikka Shop on Kacha Jail Road.
It also imposed fine on cafeteria of the Central Park Medical College cafeteria, Ferozepur Road, and canteen of the Rashid Latif Medical College.
Allama Iqbal Town team inspected various branches of KIPS Schools and Colleges in Johar Town and sealed their various food suppliers’ units such as Al-Hafiz Samosa Corner, Madina Ghausia Samosa Shop and Spiderwebs Food. It also imposed fine on Sabir Naqeebia Murgh Chanay and Geo Restaurant in G-1 Market, Johar Town.
Gulberg Town team sealed Alraya Hotel on the Mehmood Kasuri Road and imposed fine on the Lahore Social Food, the Noodle House, Hotel One and canteen of Skans College.
BRIEFING: Officers of 103rd National Management Course visited the headquarters of the Lahore’s City District Government (CDGL) as a part of their training programme.
Giving them a briefing, DCO retired Captain Usman said the CDGL was carrying out a serious of activities, assignments etc in view of giving relief to the public at large. He said besides these, the CDGL had also started issuing domiciles to the students at their respective education institutions under a tour programme.
HELD: The CDGL’s social welfare wing on Tuesday captured 15 beggars, including eight women, from various areas of the city and shifted them to the Social Welfare Home (Raiwind Road) for rehabilitation.
The beggars were captured from The Mall, Anarkali, Bhaikaywala Morr, Akbar Chowk, G-1 Market, etc.
Price control magistrates had 69 shopkeepers arrested for overcharging in open markets.
AWARENESS: An awareness activity on handling animals’ waste and maintaining cleanliness during Eidul Azha was organised here in Saddique Pura.
The activity was organised by a Turkish Company (Albayrak).
