De-seated MNA expects NA-144 ticket for sonArchive
OKARA: PML-N’s disqualified MNA Muhammad Arif Chaudhry (NA-144 Okara 2) has decided to detach his stay application from the main appeal pending with the apex court.
He told this correspondent by phone that the PML-N would award the party ticket to his son Ali Arif Chaudhry for the NA-144 by-election to be held on Oct 11.
He said he was going to meet Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore, where he would convey his decision of withdrawal of the stay application from the main appeal fixed for Sept 28.
Meanwhile, the nomination papers of the 15 candidates including a woman have been cleared by returning officer Javed Iqbal Khattak for the bye-election.
