Sindh approves 17 schemes worth Rs9.5bn

KARACHI: The Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved 17 schemes with Rs9.508 billion in various sectors, including work and services, industries, culture and tour, local government, irrigation, agriculture, health, education, livestock and fisheries, and population and welfare.

The schemes included development of summer resorts at Gorakh Hill worth Rs2.543bn, establishment of rehabilitation centre for senior citizens in Karachi (Rs75.2 million), establishment of fish biodiversity hatchery and training and extension institutes at Manchar Lake, Jamshoro, and Khairpur (Rs197.7m), procurement of dialysis machines, disposal and reverse osmosis (RO) water purification system for hospitals of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (Rs208m).
