Sindh approves 12 schemes worth Rs26bn

KARACHI: The Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved 12 schemes worth Rs26.187 billion in various sectors, including work and services, industries, planning and development, local government, irrigation, agriculture and health.

The schemes, approved in the 16th PDWP meeting of this fiscal year, included improvement of fishermen’s settlement and rehabilitation of flood-affected areas in coastal areas of Thatta, Sujawal and Badin worth Rs779.619 million; provision of solar water pumps/tube wells on subsidised rates to farmers in Sindh worth Rs1bn; improvement of road from Faizu Jahan Khan Indus Highway Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Jatoi up to Nepreiabad (Rs169.059m).
