LAHORE: A boy was clubbed to death allegedly by his classmates in Millat Park on Monday.
Police claimed that Nauman, 14, student of a private school in Ghazali Street, had a scuffle with his classmates on Sunday over an issue.
On Monday, Nauman was on his way home when three to four of his classmates wielding clubs and led by Saifullah stopped him on Mujahid Road and attacked him.
They later fled from the scene leaving Nauman in a bloody condition.
Police said the victim suffered critical injuries and was taken to nearby hospital where he died.
Police reached the spot, shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the suspects on the complaint of the victim’s father, Imran.
Police claimed raids were being conducted to arrest the absconding suspects.
Succumbs to injuries: A woman, who was allegedly stabbed by her husband 10 days ago, died at the Lahore General Hospital on Monday.
Police said 36-year-old Samia, a mother of three, was asleep at her house on Walton Road 10 days ago when her husband Sheraz stabbed her with a kitchen knife and fled.
The injured woman was admitted to LGH where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
Factory Area police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and added murder charges in the case registered against her husband.
Later, police conducted raids and arrested the suspect from his mother’s house in Nishat Colony.
Investigation Officer SI Javed said the suspect was on a five-day physical remand and confessed to his crime.
According to Javed, the suspect in his statement said he killed his wife for honour.
He said after the death of the woman, the case was handed over to homicide unit for further investigation.
The woman in her statement said she was asleep when her husband started stabbing her. She tried to move away but he again overpowered her at the main gate of the house, Javed added.
