LCCI seeks incentivesArchive
LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has urged the government to grant special incentives to the cottage industry in the federal budget 2016-17 and announce the establishment of a ‘Cottage City’ as it is the backbone of the manufacturing sector.
The demand was raised by LCCI president Sheikh Mohammad Arshad, who was addressing a 100-member delegation, led by cottage industry leader, Ghulam Sarwar Malik, here on Tuesday.
He said the country’s economic revival would remain a dream until and unless the government redesigned its policies and diverted resources towards the cottage industry.
