Pakistan blind baseball team to play in Italy

LAHORE: Pakistan blind baseball team will be leaving for Italy this week to participate in AIBSC 2016 - a besball event for the blind - which is scheduled to be held from July 22-26 in Brescia.

Mussadiq Hanif, Secretary General Blind Baseball Association of Pakistan, informed that Fabio Azrao, the Italian baseball coach who had come to Pakistan in April this year to train the Pakistan coaches, has invited the blind baseball team of Pakistan for participation in Baseball Played by the Blinds AIBSC 2016.

The blind baseball team comprises Allha Ditta, Muhammad Imran, Shahid Nadeem, Muhammad Saqib, Mohammad Sheraz, Sheraz Azeem and Saifullah. Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, President Blind Baseball Association of Pakistan, is also accompanying the team.




While talking to media Syed Khawar Shah, President Pakistan Federation Baseball, said that his federation is now fully supporting the blind baseball players and is hopeful of a good show by them in Italy.

Meanwhile, a ceremony was held at the Bahria Town cricket stadium, Lahore in the honour of blind baseball team which was attended by Syed Khawar, Asif Azeem Secretary General Softball Federation of Pakistan, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Mussadiq Hanif, Asif Jabbar and Sajid Rasheed of Multan Baseball Association.
