Habib School, City School PAF, St Joseph win netball ties

KARACHI: Habib Girls School outplayed City School 10-2 in the opening match of the Karachi Girls Netball Cup which commenced here at the PSB Coaching Centre on Tuesday.

In the other schools matches in the junior category, City School PAF beat City School North Nazimabad 8-0 while St. Joseph Girls School (Cambridge) beat City School Gulshan 3-2. In another fine contest, City School PAF (White) beat City School DK 4-1 while Habib Girls School beat St Joseph Girls School (Matric) 5-1.

City School PAF (Chapter (Blue) blanked City School PECHS 3-0 while City School Gulshan routed City School Gulistan-e-Johar 7-1.




In the senior category college competitions, City School PAF beat Trinity Girls College 3-0 while Habib Girls College beat St Joseph Girls College 11-1.

The three-day event has been jointly organised by the Pakistan Netball Federation and the Sindh Netball Association and in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board.

Mohammad Rafiq Pirzada, acting director of the Pakistan Sports Board, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and declared the championship open.

Also present on the occasion were PNF president Mudassar Arain, secretary general Mohammad Riaz, SNA secretary Ajaz-ul-Haque, and sports coordinator Intesar Haider.
