City School PAF, South Shore win cricket finals

KARACHI: The City School PAF Chapter beat The City School Gulshan Campus by 9 runs in the boys under-17 T-20 cricket final held at the IBA cricket ground here on Saturday. The cricket event was held as part of the Karachi School-College Games under the auspices of PSSO.

The PAF Chapter team won the toss and elected to bat first and score 142 with Umer Ahmed top scoring with a fluent 45 runs.

In reply City Gulshan were bowled out for 133.Yahya took 3 wickets.




Areeb Moin was later named as ‘best player of the tournament’ for his all round show as he scored 230 runs and captured 11 wickets in the tournament.

In the boys under-19 cricket final, South Shore beat Meritorious School by 86 runs.

South Shore won the toss and elected to bat first to score 168 in their 20 overs. In reply, Meritorious School were dismissed for just 82 in the12th over. Khizer of South Shore was adjudged ‘best player of the tournament.’
