Four ASIs to be trained in operating drone cameraPakistan
RAWALPINDI: Four probationer ASIs will receive training in operating drone camera handed over to the city police recently.
The Punjab police have acquired 50 such drone cameras with each 1200 grams for surveillance and police operations.
Easy to fly with a built-in-camera, the drone will shoot videos and take photos criminals’ hideouts which could be seen by police on laptop or mobile device on ground. Camera can be tilt up and down and shoot video of procession or demonstration during its 25 minutes flight time.
Police believe that the device will be more effective during police raids because it will enable the police to observe the movements of criminals in their hideouts.
Spokesman for the city traffic police said the drone aerial camera will be used to monitor traffic mess on different roads, while the speed cameras will be used to check the speeding on Peshawar Road, Airport Road, Murree Expressway and Jhelum Road where the rate of accident is higher.
