Ritesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline's Bangistan to be banned in Pakistan?

It seems like the upcoming satirical comedy Bangistan starring Ritesh Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez has been banned in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) and Pakistan — the movie's producer, Ritesh Sidhwani took to Twitter to express his disappointment and confusion on the move.

Bangistan is the story of two unlikely terrorists, Hafeez (Deshmukh) and Praveen (Samrat), residing in a fictitious country with secular violence, who are recruited to become suicide bombers. The duo, with their lofty ideologies, but ordinary talent, embark on a mission to change the world. Fernandez also appears in the movie briefly as a bar owner.

Fans of the actors who were looking forward to the movie's release are not pleased.

The film has been directed by debut director Karan Anshuman and has been shot Poland and Ladakh. Bangistan releases tomorrow in India. Censors in Pakistan have yet to confirm news of the ban, but it may not be surprising given confusion surrounding [Bajrangi Bhaijaan's release]5 — when the movie was finally screened everyone breathed a sigh of relief!
