Reconciliation policy proved detrimental: KairaPakistan
DUBAI: PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said here on Tuesday that the policy of reconciliation had damaged his party and it would not repeat this mistake in the coming local bodies elections.
Speaking at a press conference after a party meeting held in Dubai, he admitted that the PPP’s support among people had decreased.
“It is true that our support has waned. The party’s workers are upset and the policy of reconciliation has proved detrimental for the PPP,” he said.

Mr Kaira said the PPP would not form an alliance with any other party for the coming local government elections in Sindh and Punjab.
It was painful for the PPP to be declared by some as supporters of terrorists, but it would try to endure repressive actions and continue to struggle in parliament and the courts, the PPP leader added.
“The PPP will not take any step to destabilise the system.”
