Three workers die after falling into chemical tank of textile mill in KarachiPakistan
KARACHI: Three workers died while two others were rescued after they fell into a chemical tank of a textile factory in Bin Qasim industrial area of the metropolis on Monday night, it has been learnt.
Bin Qasim SHO Dhani Bux Marri told Dawn that five workers fell while trying to clean a tank containing chemical inside Indigo textile mills.
Two factory workers, identified as Hussain and Saif Rehman, were rescued in unconscious condition and sent to a hospital for treatment, police official said.
The remaining three, however, could not be rescued and “are believed to have died inside the chemical tank”, Marri said.
The deceased have been identified as Raheel, Amid and Aijaz.
Earlier in July, two mill workers had died and three received injuries after falling into the pulp tank of a paper mill on the Okara-Depalpur road.
