Gen Bajwa lauds role of overseas Pakistanis in country's progressPakistan
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday lauded the role of overseas Pakistanis play in helping the country progress, a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Gen Bajwa, who is on an official visit to the United Kingdom, was speaking at a reception hosted by the Pakistan High Commission in UK in his honour.

He spoke of the armed forces' efforts to counter terrorism and militancy, and assured the gathering that Pakistan Army will perform its 'due role' towards the security of Pakistan, the ISPR statement added.
The army chief also met a UK think tank, called the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), and shared his thoughts on the geopolitical environment and security challenges surrounding Pakistan.
He informed RUSI officials of the role Pakistan and its armed forces are playing in establishing peace and stability in the region, the ISPR said.
Gen Bajwa highlighted the prospects created by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor that can strengthen the regional economy, adding that Pakistan is making relentless efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region, including Afghanistan, the ISPR added.
