Computer training for prisonersPakistan
LAHORE: The COMSATS has awarded certificates to 12 prisoners on completion of four-month training in computer technology and and graphic design at the District Jail, Kot Lakhpat.
Salman Farooq, Federal Ombdusman, awarded the certificates.
“This is an initiative of CIIT, Lahore and Punjab police for the capacity building of prisoners during their captivity and to empower them for better-skilled life on completion of sentence,” says a press release.
The CIIT has established two computer labs in the Kot Lakhpat Jail, one with 15 computers for male prisoners and the other lab with five computers for female inmates.
