Partial lunar eclipse today

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has announced that a partial eclipse of the moon will take place on Monday and Tuesday that will be visible from Pakistan also.

Abdul Rashid, director of the Climate Data Processing Centre of the Meteorological Department, said that the eclipse would be visible from the western Pacific Ocean, Australia, Asia, Antarctica, Africa and most of Europe.

On Monday, the penumbral eclipse will begin at 8.50pm PST to develop into partial eclipse at 10.23pm and reach its highest point at 11.20pm. The partial eclipse will end at 12.18am on Tuesday while the penumbral eclipse will end at 1.51am on Tuesday.
