VISAKHAPATNAM: The transfer of Narasinga Rao, executive officer of Sri Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam at Simhachalam has turned out to be a prestige issue for ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Pasupuleti Balaraju.According to reports, Ports & Investments minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao personally took up the issue with Endowments minister C Ramachandraiah since Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju is safeguarding the EO, who has been allegedly surrendered to the government following serious flak that Narasinga Rao received from both officials, public.Rao, a spl grade dy collector from the Revenue department, took charge here on deputation on May 28, 2011. Endowments commissioner Balaramaiah too is found unhappy with him after receiving a letter from hereditary trustee P Anandagajapati Raju against the EO’s unruly attitude during Kalyanotsavam. Thousands of devotees returned home not having the nijaroopa darshan of the idol during Chandana Yatra on April 24.
