Balaiah a political novice

VISAKHAPATNAM: Union Minister for State , HRD , D Purandeswari on Sunday revealed that she does not take actor and political entrant, N Balakrishna seriously. “I respect him as a brother.However, there is no need to pay heed to what he says in his political avatar.He is a novice and my junior, when it comes to real politics,” she said. Speaking to mediapersons, Purandeswari said Congress party would win majority of seats in the coming local body elections.The Congress leadership would also lead the party to a sweeping victory in the coming general elections with a systematic campaign, she added. Welfare schemes launched by former chief minister, the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, were being fulfilled by the present government, she assured.There is no question of us neglecting YSR’s welfare programmes as claimed by the opposition, she added. Purandeshwari stated that there are proposals to open one model school in every mandal of the state. About 80 per cent of the population in the country must be literate to boost development, she said.
