Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is all set to compete at the Academy Awards with other top contenders.

Hollywood delivered one of its biggest films last year with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which truly created waves worldwide. Being described as “intense” and a “masterpiece” by many, the film presently is the top contender in the upcoming Academy Awards. Based on atomic bomb creator J. Robert Oppenheimer, the film has already won a series of accolades including the Golden Globe and the Critics Choice Award, thus becoming a new favourite ever since the award season commenced.

While it has been months since the Christopher Nolan film hit theatres, it seems like fans still can’t stop praising and applauding the movie all across social media. There is ample content in this regard and one thing has caught our attention will leave you speechless as well.

Viral video shows ‘Oppenheimer Coffee’

Inspired by the movie and its impressive VFX that shows the atomic blast, content creator Quek Shio gave an ‘Oppenheimer’ twist to a cup of his coffee and we can say it is quite amazing!

While the name itself is pretty unique, what is more interesting is the coffee-brewing video and the sound effects. While the sound follows the same practical effects as used in the movie, one can also hear Ludwig Goransson’s iconic music playing in the background.

As the video plays, it shows the explosive process of making a good and strong cup of coffee, beginning from the mechanics of grounding the beans to using the coffee machine and finally the addition of cream. Along with the video, Shio also mentioned that the entire clip was prepared without any CGI and with practical effects just like Nolan.

“Oppenheimer Coffee. All practical effects, no computer-generated imagery. 5 days of filming + editing. Shot with Sony a7sIII + Panasonic Lumix gh6, edited and color graded in DaVinci Resolve,” he wrote in the caption.

Apart from the coffee-making video, he has also shared a series of reels on his Instagram handle, showing how he shot the entire sequence, which seems extremely satisfying to the eye.

Internet reacts

Reacting to the video, many took to the comment section and expressed their amazement over the creation. A user wrote, “I am becoming coffee, destroyer of bowels,” while another one wrote, “Coffenheimer.”

“I have become espresso, the destroyer of depresso,” a third user commented.

For the unversed, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which features Cillian Murphy in the titular role, is a top contender for the upcoming 96th Academy Awards.
