London: Manchester City survived a late wobble to beat Leicester City 4-2 and reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Carlos Tevez put City ahead in the third-round replay, only for Paul Gallagher to level from the penalty spot.

Patrick Vieira and Adam Johnson seemed to have won it for City, but a late goal from Lloyd Dyer had City sweating until Aleksandar Kolarov made the game safe in the final minute.

City had seemed in control in the early stages, Johnson stumbling and miscuing his shot after being laid clean thorough, even before Tevez put them ahead after 15 minutes.

Winning the ball on the right, he cut infield, bundled through two challenges, and smashed an angled finish past Chris Weale.

Four minutes later, though, Leicester levelled, Paul Gallagher firing in a penalty after Lloyd had been tripped by Vieira.

Leicester enjoyed a brief flurry, but the game seemed to be ended with two goals in the space of a little over a minute.

First Pablo Zabaleta cut the ball back for David Siilva, and when his shot was blocked, Vieira stabbed in at the back post.

Then Silva split the defence and Johnson ran on to finish confidently.

Weale saved a 58th-minute penalty from Tevez, and with eight minutes remaining Dyer ran on to Yuki Abe's through-ball and slipped a finish past Joe Hart.

But Kolarov drilled in his first goal for the club in the 90th minute to settle the game.

Wolverhampton Wanderers made short work of their replay, dispatching Doncaster Rovers 5-0.

Steven Fletcher headed Wolves into a fifth-minute lead and second-half goals from Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, Kevin Doyle, Matt Jarvis and David Jones completed a comfortable win.

The night's other tie, between Cardiff City and Stoke City, was goalless after 90 minutes.
