The exams were held last year as part of the recruitment drive. From February 22 to February 28, 2023, the CRPF computer-based recruitment exam 2022 took place at various testing sites around the country. For the positions of ASI and HC, the CPRF selection process involves a computer-based test, skill test, PST, document verification (DV), and medical examination. On January 12 and 13, the skill test, DV, and other remaining procedures will be held.

The CRPF recruitment drive 2022 intends to fill 1,458 Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable positions. The registration period ran from January 1 to January 25. On February 15, 2023, the admit cards were distributed. The computer-based test was conducted only in two languages, i.e. English and Hindi. To be qualified for the Head Constable (Ministerial) post, the candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board and should have been between 18 and 25 years of age. Additionally, they had to have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.

On the other hand, to be eligible for the Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno) post, the candidates need to have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board, and the age limit was the same as for the Head Constable (Ministerial) post candidates. But in this case, the candidate needed to have a typing speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi along with a shorthand speed of 100 words per minute in both languages.
