IND vs ENG: Virender Sehwag Shares Rishabh Pant’s Hilarious Antics Behind the Stumps
Sehwag took to Instagram and shared a short video clip of Pant’s chatter behind the wickets which seemed to confuse English batsmen at the crease, Jack Leach and Ben Foakes.

India and England are battling it out in the ongoing third Test match of the series at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. The pink-ball, day-night clash is a test of nerves for both sides as it will determine their chances of a playing berth in the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag shared a gem from the third Test. After the first day’s play ended, Sehwag shared a clip from the match earlier in the day. The Nawab of Najafgarh shared a video clip which shows Team India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant’s remarks from behind the stumps.

Sehwag took to Instagram and shared a short video clip of Pant’s chatter behind the wickets which seemed to confuse English batsmen at the crease, Jack Leach and Ben Foakes. Sehwag, in his post’s caption, mentioned the wicketkeeper-batsman as the 'ultimate street cricketer', for his amusing verbal antics.

Sehwag’s comment stands true as Pant's funny noises could have earned them another wicket. His funny squeals were enough to confuse the English batsmen, however, they chose not to take a run. Even though the hosts did not get a wicket in that over, Leach departed a few deliveries later.

Pant received the opportunity to play in his maiden pink-ball Test in his career on Wednesday. He had earlier played a pink-ball practice match against Australia A during India's Australia 2020-21 tour recently. He went on to destroy the opposition’s bowling attack with a quickfire hundred. Pantsmashed an unbeaten 103 from 73 balls, with the help of nine fours and six sixes at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). While Pant has not come out to bat yet in the ongoing Test, it will be interesting to see if he could replicate his SCG exploits here.

Coming back to the ongoing third Test in Ahmedabad, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin restricted the visitors to 112 in their first innings. The hosts were at 99 for three and trail by 13 runs at the end of day one.
