Mumbai Metro Line 3: Saudi Arabia’s ACES Bags Contract To Build 5G Connectivity Infrastructure
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) awarded ACES India a nine-year contract for mobile infrastructure services, including 4G and 5G connectivity.

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC) has given a 9-year contract to ACES India Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES), for the establishment of Mobile Infrastructure Services, including 4G and 5G connectivity.

ACES will equip India’s longest underground metro line with cutting-edge mobile communication infrastructure, including 4G and 5G technologies. The specialised engineering service company establish the infrastructure for Mumbai Metro Line 3 covering the whole 33.5-kilometer stretch of track, which includes 27 stations, platforms, concourses, and tunnels. After completion of the project, Mumbai Metro’s 1.6 million passengers will have improved connectivity while travelling in metro trains.

Mumbai Metro Line 3 (MML – 3), which passes through Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Greater Mumbai.

Dr Akram Aburas, CEO of ACES, said that the contract’s goal is to establish a contemporary and intelligent environment for Metro’s customers, travellers, and staff to enjoy seamless high-speed mobile service.

The contract is for nine years and will accommodate 600 million passengers yearly, according to MMRC. Dr Akram Aburas, CEO of ACES and Mohammed N Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India Pvt. Ltd., received the letter of authorisation (LoA) on September 26 from MMRC.

ACES India Private Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Saudi company ACES, which is a prominent international digital infrastructure provider in the Middle East, South East Asia, and Europe.

Several significant projects, most notably the extension of the Holy Mosque in Mecca, Riyadh Metro, Jeddah Airport, Riyadh Airport, MASAR, and overseas projects such as Bangalore Airport, Surat Diamond Bourse, Taj Hotel, and others, have already been completed by ACES.
