Justice R Subhash Reddy of the High Court has sought to know the stand of the CBI on questioning PV Sitarama Swamy Naidu, one of the witnesses in the Emaar Properties scam and son of former minister PV Rangaiah Naidu. The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Swamy Naidu last year complaining against the CBI officers for misuse of power and for alleged harassment. He alleged that the CBI had been trying to frame all those who purchased plots at Emaar Hills as accused persons in the case and summoning them to the CBI office repeatedly for questioning without following the due process of law.The CBI counsel denied the allegation and said he was summoned only once or twice. Intervening, the judge asked the CBI counsel to inform the courtl by the next date of hearing how many times Swamy Naidu had been questioned by the investigating officers till date, and adjourned the matter to next week.
