WWE will be hosting its first premium live event of the year with the Royal Rumble 2024 this weekend. Live from the Tropicana Field in Tropicana, on January 27, the Royal Rumble 2024 will be featuring two title defences.
Roman Reigns will be returning to WWE action as he puts his WWE Universal Championship on the line while Logan Paul is set to defend his United States title in his first-ever Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
We will also see two battle royals at the live event, one each for the men’s and women’s rosters.

Roman Reigns (c) vs AJ Styles vs LA Knight vs Randy Orton – Fatal-4 way match for Universal Championship
Roman Reigns is set to defend his Universal title against the likes of Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight. Orton made a return to the WWE a few months back at the Survivor Series 2023 and is set to compete in a title opportunity. Whereas, for LA Knight this will be a golden opportunity to establish himself as one of the top stars in the company.
Logan Paul (c) vs Kevin Owens – WWE United States Championship
The famous streamer-turned WWE superstar Logan Paul has found much success since his arrival at the company. He had beaten Rey Mysterio to win the United States title on an episode of SmackDown in October. It was also his first championship in the WWE. At the upcoming event, Kevin Owens will be looking to dethrone Logan but it is unlikely that we will see the company take the title away from their emerging star this soon.
Women’s Royal Rumble match
The women’s Royal Rumble match could see Bayley pick up a win to face off against either IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship or Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40. With the budding cracks now slowly becoming visible within Damage CTRL, WWE could push an exciting storyline for the women’s roster.
Men’s Royal Rumble match
The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble match will include a plethora of wrestling superstars. We could see Brock Lesnar return to WWE action while CM Punk will remain amongst the favourites to win the battle royal. Punk recently made a shocking return to the company at the Survivor Series pay-per-view last year. It will be interesting to see if the WWE pushes the Chicago-based star as a potential face of the company once again.
