After testing for almost two years, the Force Gurkha 5-five door is finally making its way to the Indian market. As the launch is just around the corner and the global debut is scheduled for the end of this month, the company has shared the teaser on the internet, hinting about the design elements and some key features.
The development came at a time when Mahindra is planning to release Thar 5-door in the country. It has been reported that the launch date for the same has been set for August 15, 2024
Design Elements and Features
Coming back to the Gurkha 5-door. The SUV is expected to follow the footprints of the existing 3-door version. However, some of the major changes from both inside and outside are likely to attract a lot of new customers this time.
As per the shared details, the upcoming off-roader will come with a fully LED headlight setup, and stylish taillight, paired with the sleek LED DRLs. The overall design elements will be the same as the ongoing 3-door version, featuring a bolder and boxy road appearance.
What’s New?
It will run on stylish alloy wheels, allowing the customers to enjoy more ground clearance and roomy cabin. It is safe to say that the vehicle will be an affordable version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
On the side, it will be treated by the heavy cladding, making it look more bolder and aggressive than before.
Engine
It will be powered by the Mercedes-Benz sourced 2.6-litre diesel engine. The unit will generate a maximum power of 90bhp and 250Nm of peak torque, paired with five-speed MT. It will also get a full-fledged 4X4 system as standard.
Once launched, the SUV will directly compete with the Mahindra’s upcoming Thar 5-door.
