Skoda Rapid's Top 5 Features That Make It Worth Its Price
Skoda recently gave the Rapid a mid-life facelift with host of new features. We tell you the top ones.

Skoda India has been working towards updating their line up in India. It started with the Superb, then the Octavia and the latest product to be updated is the Rapid.Launched at a starting price tag of Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Rapid has a lot of expectations to live up to for Skoda, especially because of the sheer number of competitors present in the same price segment. So here are the top five new features that the Czech automaker is offering in the Rapid.1. Safety

One of the most important factors that should be taken into account while buying a car is how does it fare on the safety front. Skoda seems to realise the importance of this and has made Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and dual airbags as standard across all the variants of the Rapid. Whereas the airbags provide added safety during a crash, ABS helps in preventing the crash by preventing the wheels from locking during intense braking.2. Electronic Driver Aids

Electronic driver aids help in making everyday driving easy and the Rapid comes with Hill Hold Control (HHC) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). There's also Cruise Control on offer along with optional automatic transmission gearbox.3. Infotainment system

The Rapid now comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, something which holds major significance for car buyers and goes a long way in working in favour of the product. The unit on this comes with MirrorLink, which means your infotainment screen can almost turn into your smartphone.4. Quartz-Cut Projector Headlamps with LED DRLs

The Rapid uses Skoda's 'Crystalline' design language and sports an aggressive headlamp design, which also comes with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). These not only look good and make the car stand out of the crowd, it is also a safety feature as it improves car's visibility to other drivers during low-light scenarios like fog.5. Restyled Interiors

Most of your time with the new Rapid will be spent inside the cabin and that's where a lot of changes has been made. It comes with Dual-tone Ebony-Sand Interiors with leather seats and decent use of chrome throughout the cabin.

The Skoda Rapid comes in three variants – Active, Ambition and Style – and most of the features come loaded in the top-end 'style' variant. Hence, if you are looking to check out the new Rapid, we recommend going for 'Style' variant.
