To finish the development initiatives, NIAL and the local industrial development authorities are requesting submissions from different businesses via Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).

The construction of the Noida International Airport is aimed at creating a top-notch civil aviation facility and a transit hub for the Asia-Pacific region, the Uttar Pradesh government said on Wednesday.

According to a statement by the state government, the airport is being built based on the design of Zurich Airport in Switzerland, with world-class passenger and aircraft handling capabilities.

The new greenfield airport, which will function as the second international airport in the National Capital Region after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, is being built in the Jewar region of the Gautam Buddh Nagar area in western Uttar Pradesh, some 75 km from Delhi.

The e-tendering method has allowed the government to expedite the licensing, operations and management processes as well as the hiring of consultants and employees for the airport.

A number of initiatives, including the construction of the facility’s fundamental infrastructure, are being expedited by the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), which is in charge of finishing the airport’s development and operations in collaboration with local industrial development agencies.

YIAPL, or Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, is committed to building the airport in compliance with the guidelines established by the central and Uttar Pradesh governments.

Zurich Airport International AG, the Swiss company that acquired the contractor deal for the public-private partnership project, owns 100 percent of YIAPL.

To finish the development initiatives, NIAL and the local industrial development authorities are requesting submissions from different businesses via Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).

According to the statement, a thorough action plan has been quickly put into effect in accordance with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s agenda for the overall development of the Jewar Airport.

The government stated that RFPs have been released to finish the licencing procedure for installing electric vehicle charging stations. It further stated that applications are being accepted for the employment of staff for electrical maintenance, canteen management, and the granting of licences for the planning, growth, installation, financing and running of fuel stations within the airport.

The primary phase of airport expansion, which spans more than 1,300 hectares, is now under construction. The 5,000 hectares of land that will become the airport will be constructed over four stages.
