Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan are very good friends and they are often seen expressing their love for each other. Well, recently in an interview with Forbes, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani director expressed his admiration for the Pathaan actor and called him an ‘irreplaceable’ actor. Johar, who shares a close bond with Khan both personally and professionally, emphasized that there will never be a personality like him in the film industry.
Karan, in the interview, talked about many things including actors and their stardom. He mentioned that the stardom will come to an end with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and others. But he also said that the Jawan actor will always be there. Highlighting Shah Rukh, Karan declared, “I don’t think there’s a better conversationalist, a more intelligent mind, a more charming and arresting persona, and an aura that is inexplicable than Shah Rukh Khan. That majestic magnetism only he has. He’s irreplaceable.” Karan said that there will be ‘many actors’ in the future, but ‘there never was and never will be a personality like Shah Rukh Khan’.
Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have worked in many films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and My Name is Khan. Both have acted also in the hit film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
On the work front, Karan Johar has an exciting lineup of projects in the pipeline. He is set to direct the TV series Call Me Bae, featuring Ananya Panday and Varun Dhawan. The series revolves around a billionaire fashionista who is disowned by her rich family due to a salacious scandal.
While, Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Dunki, has not announced any new projects. In 2023, his films- Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki were released and all were hit. Fans are waiting for his next announcement. Recently, speaking to Raya Abirached, Shah Rukh spoke about his next project and said, “I think I’ll start one in March-April now. Like I’ve been attempting now to do a film which is more age-real to me and play it still as the protagonist and the star of the film.” Details are awaited.
