If you are dreaming of buying a house in the capital city of Delhi, your dream may soon come true. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to launch three new housing schemes. The DDA has approved the proposal for these schemes, which will include High Income Group (HIG), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories in Dwarka, offering a total of 39,573 flats. Officials stated that the scheme is expected to launch by the end of this month.
According to a DDA statement, “This scheme aims to provide affordable housing for low-income families. Flats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The scheme will offer Low Income Group (LIG) and EWS flats at discounted rates in Ramgarh Colony, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram, Rohini, and Narela, with starting prices around Rs 11.5 lakh.”
The DDA General Housing Scheme 2024 is set to offer 5,400 flats across different income categories. These flats will be distributed in prominent areas such as Jasola, Loknayakpuram, and Narela. Despite the inflationary pressures, DDA officials have committed to maintaining the prices at the 2023 levels, ensuring that these homes remain within reach for many potential buyers. The starting price for these flats will be around Rs 29 lakh, making them a lucrative option for those looking to invest in their own home.
In addition to the General Housing Scheme, the DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme stands out as a significant offering. This scheme will include 173 flats in the MIG, HIG, and higher categories, located in the prime sectors of Dwarka—Sector 14, Sector 16B, and Sector 19B. These flats will be available through an e-auction process, ensuring transparency and fairness in the allocation. The starting price for these premium flats will be Rs 1.28 crore, reflecting their prime location and superior amenities.
The comprehensive approach of the DDA aims to cater to a wide range of housing needs, from affordable options for low-income families to premium offerings for higher-income groups. By keeping the prices stable and offering a substantial number of flats, the DDA is making a concerted effort to make homeownership a reality for many in Delhi. The launch of these schemes is expected to take place by the end of the month, providing a timely opportunity for prospective homeowners to plan and participate in the upcoming offerings.
