Punjab Kings co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta hit out at the circulation of fake news articles suggesting she wanted to rope in MI star batter Rohit Sharma as the skipper for her Punjabi outfit.
Zinta clarified that she never discussed the player at any interview despite holding the Indian captain in high stead.
Shikhar Dhawan, who is the captain of the Mohali-based unit, is facing some time on the sidelines due to an injury and the timing of the false news reports make it all the more sour the 49-year-old added.
